Could Randy Orton be the next WWE Superstar to make the jump to All Elite Wrestling?  If you follow him on social media it sure seems so.

Orton recently posted a picture on his Instagram page showing him standing by a golden sign that says Elite Level and he geo-tagged it from Jacksonville, FL with the caption tick tock tick tock.  Also, he tagged some WWE Superstars that are known to be unhappy in the company, current AEW Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho and AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes.

Jericho responded to the post with "Send in a tape and some pix and I'll see what I can do….??"

Orton has been one of WWE's top guys for the last 15+ years.  He signed a ten year deal with WWE in 2010, so his contract will be up sometime next year.  With his contact coming up soon, teasing a jump to AEW is a very smart play for Randy.  It will help him not only negotiate a possible huge deal from AEW, who's shelling out tons of money to top tier wrestlers, and possibly a another huge deal with WWE who's looking to lock down talent to keep them away from the competition.  Either way, a reduced touring schedule will most likely be a must for whatever company he signs with.

Also interesting to note, during a recent Twitch stream, Orton commented how impressed he was with AEW and how he wanted to work with Sammy Guevara in the future saying, "Cody and Sammy Guevara, that kid can do some s--t," Orton admitted. "I'd love to work with that kid. They had a great match. I thought opening the show with that match was a good idea and well received."

Orton has been known to troll wrestling fans on social media before, but it will be interesting to see how this plays out.  Could AEW land one of WWE's biggest stars next year and a handful of great talent that are ready for greener pastures?  Only time will tell.
