I boiled crabs last night, and I wondering if I am doing it "right": how do you boil crabs?

I had a friend over and was only boiling 1 dozen, along with corn and potatoes. When I was growing up, we boiled crabs, shrimp, and crawfish fairly regularly and, since there were several kids in the family, our boiling recipe did not include any extra cayenne.

When I say "extra" cayenne, I am making the assumption that Zatarain's Liquid Crab Boil contains cayenne. The label says "...and artificial spice flavors" and never mentions cayenne by name, but there's something in there that gives it a little kick. There's enough "spicy" from the Zatarain's Liquid Crab Boil for my taste!

When I boil crabs (or shrimp), my recipe calls for crabs/shrimp, potatoes, corn, water, salt, liquid crab boil, vinegar, and fresh rosemary (it grows in my yard, and I love the flavor!). I boil the vegetables first, then the crabs. I bring the crabs to a full, rolling boil for 4 minutes, then I turn off the fire, cover, and let soak for 15 minutes.

What is your crab boil recipe? Am I missing out on something amazing? Comment with your suggestions.
