Daigle Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ in Trooper Vincent Murder
Despite a mountain of evidence against Kevin Daigle, he pleaded "not guilty" in the killings of Trooper Steven Vincent and Blake Brewer. Daigle has been charged with first-degree murder in the case of Vincent and second-degree murder of Daigle's own roommate Blake Brewer.
It should come as a surprise to no one that the state is seeking the death penalty if Daigle is convicted on the first-degree murder charge in the case of Trooper Steven Vincent. Judge Guy Bradberry has set Daigle's trial date for September 16, 2016 and has allotted four weeks for the trial.
In addition to the two murder charges, Daigle is also being charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, simple criminal damage to property under $500 and theft under $750. Not guilty pleas were entered on those charges too. That trial is set for February 29.
