CPSO Will Host Senior Citizen’s Fishing Rodeo This Friday
We all love our grandparents and those who are fortunate enough to still have them in their lives. There is nothing that we wouldn't do just to get a little time to have with them and reminisce or talk about what is going on in our day. This Friday the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office will be hosting the annual Senior Citizen's Fishing Rodeo this Friday, March 4.
The event will be held from 7- 11 am at the CPSO Farm Pond behind the Calcasieu Correctional Center at 5400 E. Broad Street in Lake Charles. If you have someone you know that would be interested or even if you're interested yourself. This could be something like a new pass time or simply a little fun for those days off or weekends. Participants are asked to bring their own chairs and fishing gear. The CPSO will provide additional help with baiting lines, also removing fish from the hook if needed.
There will also be refreshments served for the event and this is open for all senior citizens ages 55 years of age and older in the parish with no charge to those wanting to participate.
