Cowboys and Cajuns Football Game Scheduled for 2016

The McNeese State Cowboys first played the Rajun Cajuns football team back in 1951. The last time the two teams tangled the Pokes ruined UL's homecoming with a 18-17 road win. That was Matt Viator's first year as head coach. The Rivalry will renew in 2016.

McNeese leads the rivalry with a 20-15-2 record against the Rajun Cajuns. The last time the Cowboys visited UL ...33,000 plus attended the game. The contract stipulates that McNeese will receive a guaranty and tickets for the game. The game is scheduled for September 10th, 2016. No word on when the tickets will go on sale.
