Ever gone somewhere and thought to yourself, "I'm so glad I am here to witness this special moment?" That was how I felt Sunday night at the "Celebrating A Beautiful Life" tribute to Lake Charles music legend, Chester Daigle, II. I told my dear friend, whom I love and respect so much,  Patrica Chretien Daigle I felt so blessed to be there. If you ask anyone who was in attendance they will tell you the same. It was a magical night!

The tribute took place at Rikenjaks Brewing Company, where Chester was a mainstay for playing his soulful tunes well into the night. As no surprise, it was standing room only as folks from all walks of life came out to celebrate a shared love for Daigle, his family, band, and charity Jazz In The Arts. Everything unfolded organically. Local musicians and former students brought their instruments, and singers rocked the mic with their songs.

City Heat and Daigle's son Jairus Daigle led the epic jam session inviting other music legends such as James Bill, Michael Kittling and so many other musical talents came out and shared their gifts. It was a delightful night of Jazz In The Arts!
