The Lake crew will be out in Iowa tomorrow for our High School Football Game of the Week presented by Avail Hospital.

Week 9 is upon us in the SWLA high school football season. Iowa comes into tomorrow's game with a perfect 8-0 record and a 3-0 mark in district play. Currently, the Yellow Jackets are the #2 3A team in the state. Their eyes are set on a run for the state championship, however, a Lake Charles College Prep team is hoping to play spoiler. The Trailblazers are 5-3 on the season and 3-0 in district. KPLC reported yesterday that LCCP will not be eligible for the playoffs this season due to LHSAA sanctions. I believe the Trailblazers will treat the game tomorrow against Iowa as their "state championship game" and come out with passion and fire. If you're looking for a high-powered offensive showdown, this is going to be the game for you. Get to the stadium early and stay for the fireworks on the field.
