Video of 2 Injured in Severe Auto Accident on a California Highway Hits Close to Home
With 9 fatal crashes investigated by the Louisiana State Police Troop D so far in 2017, the aftermath of the California crash in the video above is a harsh reminder to be alert when you're driving and to always drive sober.
This unbelievable video comes from an accident in Cloverdale, CA, where a car and SUV collided head-on Saturday morning at 8 a.m., May 13, 2017, on Highway 101. Amazingly the 26-year-old female driver of a Chevrolet Malibu and the 27-year-old male driver of a Toyota Sequoia only suffered minor to moderate injuries, they were both taken to a local hospital. What's most shocking is that the driver of the Malibu survived despite the car being literally cut in half.
The video comes via The Press Democrat, courtesy of Tom Bond a "former U.S. Air Force ambulance driver" who witnessed the accident as he was driving by with his family. Several people reportedly stopped to get out and help during the accident that halted traffic.
Police are still investigating the accident, and it's believed that drugs were a factor in the crash.
