Forgotten Favorites — David Soul — Don’t Give Up On Us

Back in 1977, David Soul was pretty much a huge TV star. He and Paul Michael Glaser had one of the hottest shows on TV with 'Starsky and Hutch.' David was the blonde haired Ken Hutchinson while Glaser played his dark haired cop partner Dave Starsky.

David Soul, whose real name is David Solberg, had been trying to make it as a singer for several years, and the popularity of the TV show was just the breakthrough he needed. In April of 1977, he signed with Private Stock records and released "Don't Give Up On Us' which went to Number One in the U.S. and the U.K.

Soul is now a citizen of the U.K. and is active on the stage there.
