Will Louisiana’s Medical Marijuana Get You High?

I think this question is in the back of everyone's mind here in SWLA.  Will Louisiana's medical marijuana get me high?

Let's start off with this amazing plant and then dive into what the program will be primarily using in their products.

Cannabis is a very complex plant that produces more than 400 different chemical compounds. There are different types of cannabinoids, around 60 plus, in a marijuana plant.  Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, aka THC, is the one that gets you high.  Cannabidiol, aka CBD, is the medicinal oil of the plant that doesn't make you high.

How Does CBD Work?

Look, I'm no Mr. Wizard, but you could say that humans are “hard-wired” for cannabis. The endocannabinoid system runs deep and touches all of the major systems of the body. And that’s why cannabis can do so many things for us, from altering and regulating moods to stimulating appetites and reducing pain.

What Are The Benefits Of CBD:

First of all let me say that these next statements haven't been evaluated by FDA findings or reports.  Cannabidiol has been shown in independent research to have amazing medicinal qualities.  According to this research, below are some of the medical benefits of CBD:

So people aren't going to get "baked" on this program.  Sorry to burst some bubbles out there, lol.  But all kidding aside, CBD in my opinion is going to flip the medical game on it's head.
