
Tropical Storm Erin Expected To Be Major Hurricane By Saturday; What Does It Mean For Louisiana And Texas
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Tropical Storm Erin is fresh off of the coast of Africa, and all ready the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is predicting this storm will become a monster.
TS Erin is forecasted to start impacting the Carribean around Sunday or this coming Monday.

The storm has already caused 5 deaths from heavy rainfall and flooding.
The NHS is forecasting that Tropical Storm Erin will become the first Atlantic born major hurricane of the 2025 season.
Will Tropical Storm Erin Reach Louisiana or Texas?
It's still way too early to tell, however, recently we have seen storms in the Atlantic veering north and fizzle out in the ocean. From the NHS graphic, it looks like Erin my start the veer north as well, but how north is the question on everyone's mind who lives on the gulf coast.

There's also a disturbance currently in the gulf right off the coast of Florida. Meteorologist Zack Fradella says the storm looks to have a very low chance of development and will move over to Louisiana around today or tomorrow.
It's expected to bring rain and possible flooding to some areas of the Bayou State.
