A website called Lawn Love identified the Most Expensive Metro Areas for Renters, because rent accounts for the majority of the increase in inflation over the previous year.

U.S. metro areas were compared in three different categories. Among the nine overall metrics they examined were average rent prices, rent variations from year to year, and the percentage of renters who spend more than 30% of their income on rent and utilities. To learn how the cities were ranked, check out their methodology.

In fact, in the Lawn Love article, two Texas cities rank #1 and #2 for the highest rent increases in the nation.
