It's time for the annual rundown on the cost of Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people.

The number is based on the price of turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, rolls, butter, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, and whipped cream.  It does NOT include the bottle of Jameson that goes along with the football game afterwards.

And the actual retail value is:

Every year, the American Farm Bureau Federation releases a study on how much it'll cost to serve Thanksgiving dinner for 10 people.

And every year, it seems like they're worried about the high prices . . . even though every year, the prices look really low, considering the fact that you're feeding 10 people.

Who dies most of the cooking? A separate survey by Butterball found that 42% of men will handle cooking the turkey this year, and 84% will help make a side dish or dessert.

According to the study, it'll cost you $49.04 to serve Thanksgiving dinner to 10 people this year.  And that's not per person . . . that's for all ten people.  So it'll cost you less than $5 per person.  That's down 0.9% from last year, when it was $49.48.
