There is a glimmer of hope for the city of Lake Charles, as businesses are slowly starting to reopen and stay open later for customers to indulge in a little bit of the night life, even if this is basically for grocery shopping and restaurants. Another beautiful thing to hear is that the city of Lake Charles transit service will resume at 5:45am this Monday, November 16.

All five transit routes will be back in service with normal business hours. It is important to note that work to repair the bus stops and shelters and the replacement of several dozen bus stop pole markers is still ongoing.

There is a complete listing of routes with related maps of all city bus stops here. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 5:45am to 5:45pm. All of the routes will leave from the Transit Customer Service center located 1155 Ryan Street every 45 minutes after the hour. If you need additional information, call 491-1253.
