The 2 Biggest Reasons You Might Get Dumped on Valentine’s Day
If you can avoid these three things, you'll be well on your way to those three little words.
It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air. Today people are professing their love for one another in many ways. Some will opt for a lavish date with roses and limousines. Others will simply leave a card on a bedside table.
However, despite the affection being passed around, some people will end up brokenhearted. That's right, people break up on Valentine's Day. There are about a gazillion reasons why relationships end on any given day, but there are some Valentine's Day specific reasons why you could end up dumped. And they seem to be completely avoidable.
1. Spending irresponsibly on Valentine's Day
2. Not spending enough on Valentine's Day
I know. It sounds crazy, but according to WalletHub it's the truth. 53 percent of women say they would break up with someone who didn't get them anything for Valentine's Day. On the other hand, four in 10 people would break up with someone if they went over the top with gifts.
So where's that sweet spot?
For women it's in between $50-100. This is how much the majority of women believe men should spend. Men believe women should spend about $1-49. I would say if you spend something, but nothing more than $100 then you'll be fine.
