A strong line of thunderstorms pushed across much of South Louisiana on Wednesday morning and now we're beginning to see photos of damage across the area.
Storm names are presented by the World Meteorological Organization. The organization is very conscientious in making sure the names used are non-controversial.
Despite all the dire weather predictions, most of SOWELA skated through with nothing more than some pretty heavy rain.
Just as I got off the air, a listener called and asked whether or not a tornado had hit Topsy. As far as the National Weather Service is concerned, Topsy had no tornadoes, but the storms did cause some damage. Take a look at these pictures.
The storms that blew through last night did some damage to homes, cars, trees and power lines. Our hearts go out to those affected. The storms also created some incredible cloud formations and people posted pictures to facebook. We thought we would share some of those.
