Flesh-eating bacteria is showing up in Louisiana waters about six weeks earlier than normal this year.

The story broke today from CBS Houston. The flesh-eating bacteria that infected a fisherman through an open wound (and three others)  is known as Vibrio vulnificus, according to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals. All were infected off the Louisiana Coast.
