This weekend, the theme on 92-9 the Lake is Singer-Songwriters and, in putting the show together, I started thinking about those artist that have really touched me with their music over the years, so I thought I'd share my favorite singer-songwriters with you.
Each week I get to listen to hours of great Classic Hits on 92.9 The Lake's Mid-Day show. I like to pick a favorite set fo the week and find the videos from those songs; then share them with you. Legendary singer-songwriter Carole King will receive the 2013 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. James H. Billington, the Librarian of Congress, announced the award today (Dec. 13), saying King will travel to Washington to perform at the Library's Coolidge Auditorium next spring.
