A former employee has been arrested for setting a fire at a Dollar Tree location.

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry said the massive Vernon Parish fire was caused by an arsonist, and they are seeking help identifying the culprit.

UPDATE: Just a few hours after requesting help from the public to find and identify two individuals believed to be involved in a fire that occurred in a crowded store in Covington, both suspects have been apprehended.

A man was arrested in Albany, Louisiana this past Sunday after he allegedly beat his ex-girlfriend, killed her dogs with a shotgun, and burned down the camper she was living in.

The man was booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail.

The fire was allegedly set by a former employee in a trash can near the manager's stand.

Authorities say that one of the Cadillacs was set on fire sometime Saturday night, September 7th.

The two arrested have been charged with arson and insurance fraud.
