Survey Says #1 Halloween Candy in Louisiana is Swedish Fish– I Disagree

According to a survey posted on the website, Mashable, the most popular Halloween candy in Louisiana is Swedish Fish. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't know a soul that buys Swedish Fish. I don't think they talked to the right people in our state and an informal survey that Heather and I conducted on the air bears out my opinion.

According to Lake listeners, the most popular candy is a draw between Kit-Kat and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. One listener even went on to tell us that the Reese's Cups should always be put in the freezer before they are devoured. We had to go along with that one.

Now, according to Mashable, the most popular candy overall was Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and that candy came out first in Massachusetts and Rhode Island while Candy Corn won out in 5 states. There were two states with pretty unpredictable answers.

I guess people in West Virginia don't get the concept of Halloween candy because they picked Oreos. Since when are Oreos candy? Granted, an ice cold glass of milk and Oreos are a wonderful thing indeed, but you wouldn't want a pile of cookies in the bottom of you candy bag. Then there's Arizona. Evidently the people of Arizona are much more high class than the rest of us because they picked Toblerone as their favorite Halloween candy. Seriously now. Who's going to spend that much on candy for a 7 year-old?
