Sulphur Pool Contractor in Hot Water

It seems that the owner of Aquatic Pools and Spas, Fab Cantu, has been accused of various forms of theft relating to unfinished work on several projects around this area as well as in Beaumont and a few points East.

The charges against Cantu include theft over $1,500 and theft between $750 and $5,000. The D.A.'s office had requested arrest warrants in the matter, but Cantu turned himself in yesterday and as of last night had not bonded out.

Those theft charges are not the only problems facing Cantu. there is also a civil suit facing him seeking over $6,000 relating to equipment rentals. Customers of Cantu claim that he has received several thousand dollars for various jobs around the area and has not completed them.

Several of the people filing complaints say that their backyards were torn up and no other work was done by Cantu. We'll have more as this story develops.
