The Sulphur Police Department and the Sulphur City Council are hosting a school supply drive with a unique goal in mind: they want to get enough items to fill a jail cell!

A typical jail cell in the United States is six feet by eight feet, or 48 square feet. It's safe to assume that, if the supplies are in boxes, that area could be filled with plenty of supplies to provide to hundreds of students in the Sulphur area for the 2018-19 school year.

Supplies can be dropped off at the Sulphur Police Department, with other drop off locations to be announced. The drive continues throughout the month of July.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if they could fill not one but two jail cells?
