Countdown To Class: First Day of School In SWLA

Now that we are past Independence Day, parents have set their sights on the first day of school. The countdown has officially begun!

Beauregard Parish students who have four-day school weeks will be the first to report, with other parishes in the southwest Louisiana area set to go back on either August 10 or August 14.

Here's the full list so you can start your school shopping and start your own countdown clock:

Allen Parish-- Friday, August 10

Beauregard Parish 4-day-- Thursday, August 2

Beauregard Parish 5-day-- Tuesday, August 14

Calcasieu Parish-- Tuesday, August 14

Cameron Parish (all schools)-- Tuesday, August 14

Jeff Davis Parish-- Friday, August 10
