A substitute teacher has been fired and charged with aggravated assault after she viciously beat a 15-year-old student.

Tiffani Shadell Lankford was released from jail on a $10,000 bond. If convicted of the second-degree felony, Lankford could face between two to twenty years in prison.

The video took place in a foreign language class at Lehman High School in Kyle, Texas.

According to the the student's lawyer, the class was being loud, and Lankford cursed at them. The student told her not to talk to her that way and the incident escalated from there.

The teen is being treated for "severe injuries."
