Storm Moving Off African Coast Has A Good Chance To Form
We have been very lucky this Hurricane season and keep your fingers crossed that this pattern holds. There is a storm just beginning to cross the Atlantic that looks like it could form into a tropical system.
This area of low pressure is currently a few hundred miles south of the Cape Verde Islands and only has a 30% chance of formation in the next three days. Don't yawn yet though because NOAA gives it a 60% chance of formation when you look at the next five days. The system is moving to the west-northwest at about 15 miles per hour. It is moving into an area with favorable conditions for gradual strengthening. We will keep an eye on this system for you.
