Sheriff’s Office Makes Mall Shopping Safer With Special Holiday Pressence at Prien Lake Mall
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is planning another year of robbery prevention at the Prien Lake Mall. This effort is to make holiday shopping safer for all.
The Calcasieu parish Sheriff's Office will locate a mobile command center in the mall parking lot beginning Friday, November 29. This is the same day that deputies will begin parking lot patrols seven days a week from noon until one hour past mall closing through December 26th..
According to a press release from the sheriff's office the deputies will be on marked ATV's and patrol cars in the parking lot and will be available to assist shoppers with such things as helping them find their car, jump starting their car if the battery is dead, changing a flat, assisting employees and shoppers by walking them to their car after dark, or any other assistance they can provide.
You will Also see deputies conducting checks with store clerks at businesses in the Southgate Shopping Center on Ryan Street, the Power Center on Highway 14, and the Target Shopping Center on Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles.
