Saints Sign Free Agent Defensive End Noah Spence
The New Orleans Saints just lost two of their most important defensive lineman over the last two days in Marcus Davenport and Sheldon Rankins.
Many wonder who's going to fill their shoes, how are the Saints going to rebuild amidst their losses? One way they're going to do it is by taking a chance on a guy who came into the league with a lot of potential but hasn't quite lived up to the hype just yet in Noah Spence.
Spence, 25, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2016 as the 39th selection overall and burst onto the scene with 5.5 sacks during his rookie campaign playing in all 16 games while starting three.
However, since then he's recorded just 2 sacks in 25 games spanning the last three seasons. He's young so the potential is still there and the Saints are hoping they can reap the benefits if he can figure it things out over the remainder of this season.
Other guys New Orleans is going to be looking at to step up are the likes of Trey Hendrickson, David Onyemata, Mario Edwards, Shy Tuttle, Carl Granderson, and more.
