January 3, 1976 -- The Bay City Rollers hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with one of the greatest 1970's rock anthems.  They'd had popularity in the UK and in their home of Edinburgh, Scotland, but this was their debut hit in the U.S.  "Saturday Night" didn't make it to the UK charts 2 years earlier, but we Americans knew greatness when we heard it!  Turn up your speakers and sing (scream) along with the Bay City Rollers in 1976!
