The magic ride for the little league team from River Ridge, LA continues after they beat the squad from Elizabeth, NJ on Wednesday 4-1.

This game was all about the pitching for Louisiana and the defense for New Jersey. Egan Prather got the start for River Ridge and he did not disappoint as he fired 5 1/3 innings allowing just one hit, one walk while striking out 10 batters.

Louisiana jumped out to an early 1-0 lead scoring in the first inning and then plated three more runs in the third aided by a handful of NJ errors allowing those runs to score. In total, New Jersey committed three errors that eventually cost them the game as Prather shut down their offense.

Give credit to the Elizabeth natives as they strung a couple of hits together in the 6th to get a run back with the middle of their lineup up but William Andrade was up to the task and closed the door.

River Ridge will play the loser of Virginia and Hawaii, the team they lost their opening game to, on Thursday at 6 p.m. The winner of that game will advance to the Championship Game on the United States side of the bracket.
