Rare Video of McNeese Homecoming 1953

First of all, many thanks to the folks at the McNeese University Library. I went searching for lost video of Lake Charles and the folks there help me find a veritable treasure trove of old home movies on McNeese in the year 1953.

I'll be editing this film footage for quite some time since there are over 3 hours of footage. The film isn't confined to the McNeese campus either. Among the shots I'll be editing are some great scenes of downtown Lake Charles in that early 50s era. It's interesting to see some of the businesses that used to be downtown.

The videos are full of great shots of cars and people and places in Lake Charles as it existed back there in the Eisenhower years. Enjoy!
