Rare Film Uncovered — Lake Charles Circa 1954

This is a fascinating look back at our city from around 1954. According to John Bridges (KPLC Sunrise) the film was fairly recently purchased at a garage sale, then donated to McNeese University.

Whether you grew up in this area or not, it is amazing to take a look at everyday events in a time before McNeese was a university; before there was a Lake Charles Civic Center; before the razing of all the great downtown architecture.
