Popular Texas Department Store Closing Down 5 Stores And More To Come
A popular department store in Texas will close over 150 locations nationwide in 2025. We have all the details on the Texas locations that are being permanently closed.
Big-box retailers like Foot Locker, CVS, Bed Bath & Beyond, and others are closing stores to save money and help recover from the losses they suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic. But another retail behemoth is also continuing to close stores.

Macy's is just another victim of the Pandemic has a news report says the corporation is looking to continue to close locations across the country.
We originally reported in February of last year that Macy's could be closing all 37 Texas locations. That could still happen, however, as of now the company is only announcing 66 of the 150 stores they plan to close in 2025.
According to CNN, Macy's wants to cater to wealthier shoppers and carry more high end brands.
What Macy's Stores Are Closing In Texas?
- Dallas - Southlake Town Square
- Flower Mound - Long Prairie Road
- Fort Worth - River Run
- Houston - Almeda Mall
- Plano - Shops at Willow Bend
We have seen how the Pandemic has destroyed other large retail businesses over the years, forcing them to close all of their locations and take their ball and go home. I don't pretend to know Macy's financial status. I sincerely hope this isn't the case since it would be tragic for a 165-year-old American company to suffer the same fate as others.
