Popular Louisiana Department Store Closing Down Store And More To Come
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: In 2025, a popular department retailer in Louisiana plans to close more than 150 stores around the country. We have all the details about the Louisiana location that will be permanently closed.
In order to conserve money and aid in their recovery from the losses they sustained during the COVID-19 pandemic, big-box shops such as Foot Locker, CVS, Bed Bath & Beyond, and others are closing locations. Another retail giant is also still closing its locations.

Macy's is just another victim of the Pandemic; a news report says the corporation is looking to continue to close locations across the country.
We originally reported in February of last year that Macy's could be closing all locations in Louisiana. That could still happen, however, as of now the company is only announcing 66 of the 150 stores they plan to close in 2025.
According to CNN, Macy's wants to cater to wealthier shoppers and carry more high end brands.

We have seen how the Pandemic has destroyed other large retail businesses over the years, forcing them to close all of their locations and take their ball and go home. I don't pretend to know Macy's financial status. I sincerely hope this isn't the case since it would be tragic for a 165-year-old American company to suffer the same fate as others.
