The family had revealed in a December episode of their podcast, "Unashamed with The Robertson Family" that Phil had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Jase Robertson also said in a statement that he was also dealing with a blood disease that was making all of his health problems worse.

Phil and his family starred on the hit TV series "Duck Dynasty" which aired from 2012 to 2017. He was known for his dry humor and quick wit. Phil was a man of God and instilled those values into generations of his family.

A&E revealed earlier this year that Duck Dynasty: The Revival, a remake of the series, will debut this summer. Twenty one-hour episodes of the relaunch series will follow Willie and Korie Robertson as they raise their expanding family of kids and grandkids on their ranch in Louisiana. Currently, no details have been released about funeral services at this time.
