Paul Simon is, without a doubt, not just one of the most prolific songwriters of modern but one of the most eclectic as well. Simon has tackled just about every genre of music one cars to name and to celebrate his 72nd birthday, the multi-talented Paul Simon will release a must-have box set. It's going to be a huge collection.

This mega box set will include 12 studio albums and two concert recordings released over a 45-year span, starting with 1965's 'The Paul Simon Song Book' and running through 2011's 'So Beautiful or So What.'

Sandwiched in between are classic albums like his 1972 self-titled LP (which includes hits like 'Mother and Child Reunion' and 'Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard'), 1975's Grammy-winning 'Still Crazy After All These Years' and 1986's groundbreaking 'Graceland.'

The package will also include alternate takes of some of Simon's greatest hits. It's always interesting to hear how hits might have sounded had the alternate takes been released.

Just about everyone likes something by Simon and this collection will no doubt feature some hidden gems in addition to all the hits.
