New Orleans Saints Safety Jarius Byrd Out For Season

As if the Saints defense had not been bad enough already ... they have now lost their prize free agent pick up this year ...Jarius Byrd. A practice injury has taken him out for the season.

New Orleans Saints Head Coach Sean Payton announced today that the free safety will miss the rest of the season. He suffered a bucket handle meniscus tear in practice yesterday. Ih his four games with the Saints he has 22 tackles, two passes defended and the Saints defense only turn over this year with one forced fumble.
