New Orleans Saints Host Vikings Christmas Day
The New Orleans Saints will make a rare Friday appearance and play on Christmas Day as they host the Minnesota Vikings in the Superdome in the Big Easy.
The Saints got off to a rocky start by losing two of their first three games of the year before getting it together and rattling off nine straight wins despite losing their star quarterback, Drew Brees, to a collapsed lung and broken ribs.
Backup quarterback Tasom Hill took over the helm and won his first two games as a starter, helping the Saints secure a playoff spot for the post season. Unfortunately, the Saints have lost their last two games against the Eagles and the Chiefs.
The Saints sit at 10-4 on the season and in first place in the NFC South division. They are also sitting as the number two seed in the NFC as far as the playoffs go. This year is a little different though, as you want to have the number one seed because the team that holds that top spot gets a first round bye when the playoffs start.
The Saints will take on the Vikings this Friday afternoon on Christmas Day. The game will kick off at 3:25pm and be televised on FOX and the NFL Network.
