Movies Under The Stars Returns In October In Lake Charles

It's back!  The popular four week outdoor movie event is coming back for another run starting this Friday, October 4th, 2019 in Lake Charles.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury (CPPJ) is putting on Movies Under The Stars again this fall with four great movies slated to play every Friday evening at Prien Lake Park in Lake Charles.

This Friday October 4th, We Are Marshall will be shown.  Then Friday October 11th the movie will be E.T.  October 18th get ready for Aladdin followed by the fourth and final Friday October 25th with Casper.

This four week event will take place at the Prien Lake Park in Lake Charles located 3700 West Prien Lake Road and is free and open to the public.

According to Laura Heller with the CPPJ,

Movies start at sundown – around 7:30 p.m. - but get there early to get a good seat. Residents are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.

Residents can also bring their own food, but there will be some food available on-site for purchase.  Movies will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
