Elecronics Hub did the dirty work for us to find out what the most hated mobile app is, not just in Louisiana, not even just the U.S., but in the entire world!

As it turns out, the world collectively downloads 250 million apps per DAY, according to DotNek. As you can imagine, app usage is higher than ever (and will most likely continue to rise), but customer satisfaction with mobile apps is falling.

What Frustrates App Users Most?

There are a multitude of reasons that users might be frustrated by an app. Poor user interface, an abundance of ads, and glitchy software are three that drive users crazy. But there's also content. An app could be perfectly designed, but if the content isn't there, users will let you know.

It's also by taste (or distaste), as many users have found success on dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, or Hinge, there's some that absolutely despise those apps.

So, how do you get an accurate gauge on what the most hated apps are? We let the experts do it. Electronics Hub analyzed Twitter data to determine the most hated apps in every country and U.S. state.

"We processed over 3 million geotagged tweets related to 87 social media, dating, mobile games, entertainment, cryptocurrency, and money transfer apps. We calculated the percentage of tweets about each app that were negative using the HuggingFace Sentiment Analysis tool, which identifies whether a tweet has positive, negative, or neutral sentiment."

The Most Hated Mobile Apps in the World?

Roblox is the most hated app in 21 countries. That doesn't make it the most hated app in the world, just the most countries it's hated in. And mobile games generally receive fewer negative reviews.

The most hated app categories are Dating apps, Money Transfer apps, and Social Media apps. Dating apps is the most hated category with 17.8% of all tweets being negative.

However, the most hated app in the WORLD is Hinge.  With 34.4% of all tweets about the dating app having a negative slant.

Let's get down to the good ole U.S. of A. What kind of app do we hate the most in this country? Well, just like the rest of the world, it's dating apps! But it's not the same dating app that the rest of the world hates. 21 out of 50 states give a big proverbial birdfinger to Tinder.
