More Random Thoughts From Dave Morgan
Today I ran across a list of things that we Americans do out of convenience even though we know they’re bad for the environment. I’m not going to list them all, but here are a few.
Buying single-use batteries instead of rechargeable batteries. Do all batteries come in rechargeable varieties?
I don’t understand the deal about using plastic straws. Are there alternative materials?
Using plastic bags for fruits and vegetables at the grocery store. Are we just supposed to let them roll around in the cart and perhaps get smashed by the gallon of milk?
Throwing away empty glass jars instead of recycling them. Glass is not accepted at Lake Charles recycling stations.
Always using a clothes dryer instead of a clothesline. We tried using a clothesline outside when we first moved here. The clothes never dried.
I think I’ve channeled Andy Rooney.
