The rodeo comes back to Lake Charles commemorating its 80th anniversary!

• Wednesday, Jan 30, 2019
• 8:00 a.m.   Livestock Show begins
• 9:00 a.m.   Trail riders leave Iowa,LA in route to Lake Charles, LA
• 5:30 p.m.   Media & VIP Press Party at Walk On's Restaurant - *Invitation only event
• Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019
• ALL DAY    City-wide "Dress Western at Work" day!
• ALL DAY    Calcasieu Parish schools "Western Dress-up" day at school!
• ​8:00 a.m.    Livestock Show begins (See details on Livestock Show page.) ​
• 9:00 a.m.    Trail riders leave for ride in South Lake Charles, LA
• 12:00 p.m.  Trail riders break for lunch provided by Gatti’s Pizza
• 3:00 p.m.    Autograph session at Patton's Western Wear (3-4pm at 3620 Ryan St) with: Legendary Hall of Fame Bullfighter & Rodeo Clown-Lecile Harris, Miss Rodeo America 2019-Taylor McNair and Miss Rodeo Louisiana 2019 - Cheyenne Benoit
• ​3:00 p.m.    Line up for Rodeo Parade at West Lagrange and Patrick St
  5:00 p.m.    Heritage Rodeo Parade begins. ROUTE:  Parade begins at corner of Lagrange & Patrick St., then travels south on Ryan St. to McNeese Stadium.
  7:30 p.m.    80th Annual SWD Rodeo Thursday Night Performance begins

• 8:00 a.m.   Livestock Show begins (See Livestock Show page for details.)
• 9:00 a.m.   Trail riders leave McNeese stadium in route to Burton Coliseum
• 1:00 p.m.   Trail riders break for lunch provided by Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
• ​3:00 p.m.   Autograph session at Boot Barn (3-4pm at 2990 E. Prien) with: Professional bullfighters Darran Robertson & Cody Emerson, soon to be named, Miss Rodeo Louisiana 2019 Taylor McNair [Miss Rodeo America 2019]
• ​6:00 p.m.   Trail riders line up for grand entry of Rodeo
• 7:30 p.m.   80th Annual SWD Rodeo Friday Night Performance begins
• Saturday, Feb 2, 2019
• 7:00 a.m.   Livestock Show begins (See Livestock Show page for details.)
• 8:15 a.m.   SWD Stick Horse Rodeo LATE registration begins (Ends at 8:45am)
• 8:30 a.m.   SWD Stick Horse Rodeo PRE-Registered Contestant Check in begins
• 9:00 a.m.   SWD Stick Horse Rodeo begins (Kids ages 0-7 competing on stick horses)
• 2:00 p.m.   80th Annual SWD Rodeo Saturday Matinee Performance begins
• 6:15 p.m.   BONUS FREE CONCERT featuring country artist, Dustin Sonnier FREE admission with your Saturday Night Rodeo Ticket
