I found this story from March of 2009. It's about a similar school shooting incident in Germany.

I know there are people who can't stop watching stories about the tragedy. I understand that obsession. One feels that, perhaps, if we watch it enough, it will make sense. Perhaps this time when they are running to story non-stop, there will be an actual revealing of some sort of motivation behind such an act.

It's not going to happen.

Back in 2009, the BBC's Charlie Brooker addressed this phenomenon with a psychiatrist. It bears watching.
