
Former McNeese Golf Star Robert MacIntyre Joins Team Europe in Ryder Cup
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - A former McNeese State University gold star will be playing for Team Europe in the 2025 Ryder Cup.
He played for the McNeese golf team from 2014 - 2015. In 2015 he earned All-Southland Conference 1st Team honors and was selected as the SLC Freshman of the Year.

Of course, we're talking about Robert MacIntyre. He was born in Oban, Scotland on August 3, 1996. He turned pro in 2017.
Robert is currently ranked as the #9 golfer on the PGA Tour. He also plays on the PGA European Tour.

The top six players in Ryder Cup points following the Betfred British Masters on August 24 automatically qualified for the European squad. The remaining six members will be selected by Captain Luke Donald.

The top six qualifying players in the Ryder Cup rankings after the BMW Championship on August 17 were guaranteed spots in the 2025 Ryder Cup for the U.S. squad, and U.S. captain Keegan Bradley picked the other six team members:
