The Cowboys were their own worse enemy in the first half. The Cowboys first three possessions resulted in two punts and a fumble (not to mention several offside penalties.) The defense gave up it's only touchdown on Weber State's opening drive. While the offense sputtered most of the first half, the defense tightened.

The Pokes broke the game open in the second half to route the Wildcats 43-6. The Cowboys are now  4-0 to start the year for the first time since their undefeated regular season of 2007.The Cowboys finished the game with 363 yards on the ground and 222 in the air. McNeese now goes on a tough road trip.

The first stop will be to play also undefeated Northern Iowa. The Pokes then travel to Central Arkansas where the Bears are 2-2.  Then the Cowboys have to visit Sam Houston where the Bearcats have only lost to Texas A&M. The Cowboys will be tested on the road.

Auburn fumbles twice early in the game and the Tigers Jeremy Hill went to work. His first run was a 49 yard touchdown and he would finish the night with 183 yards. Quarterback Zach MettenBerger adder another 229 yards and the Tigers opened the game up by scoring 21 unanswered point in the first half.
