Louisiana High School Waitress Saves Customer From Choking At Local Restaurant
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - A Moss Bluff teen is being hailed as a hero after acting fast to save a customer's life when he began choking in the restaurant she works at.
It was a day like every other day working at Budatan Asian Cuisine in Moss Bluff for Sam Houston High School student Madison Brydels.

She told KPLC that she was hanging Halloween decorations in the restaurant when she heard a customer choking, and he signaled her for help.
Madison quickly sprang into action and executed the Heimlich maneuver, a move she had only done once before in her life. She was able to dislodge the item in the man's throat which you can easily see the moment when it came flying out of his mouth.

After saving the customer's life, Madison patted his back for a second for reassurance that he was okay, and then she went right back to working.
Budatan took to social media to praise Madison for her bravery, and many people in SWLA are calling her a hero.
Madison went on to tell KPLC that she doesn't see herself as a hero. It was just a natural reaction for her.
I have to strongly agree with the people calling Madison a hero. The fact that she immediately knew what she had to do, she didn't hesitate, and a man is able to go back home with his family is very heroic. Being a graduate from Sam Houston myself, and calling Moss Bluff home for 44 years, seeing this video made me extremely proud of the character and decisiveness that Madison showed when it counted the most.
So, the next time you go eat at Budatan in Moss Bluff, ask for Madison and let her know how much you appreciate her.
