LSU QB Joe Burrow Named Finalist For Heisman Trophy
Last night is was announced the finalist for this years Heisman Trophy which honors the best college football player in the country.
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow was named one of the finalist for the Heisman Trophy and according to most experts, the front runner to win the award. The last LSU player who won the Heisman Trophy was Billy Cannon.
Ohio State will have two players representing the University. Quarterback Justin Fields and Defensive End Chase Young have been named as finalist.
The Oklahoma Sooners will send their third straight player to New York for the ceremony. Quarterback Jalen Hurts is the fourth and final nominee for the Heisman Trophy.
The past two years the Heisman Trophy has been won by an Oklahoma Sooner. Two years ago it was Baker Mayfield who now plays for the Cleveland Browns and last year it was Kyler Murray who is the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.
The 85th Heisman Trophy will be given out this Saturday night December 14th, 2019 at 7pm. The ceremony from New York City will be televised on ESPN.
