It's all about perspective. Last week we were looking at a Powerball Jackpot that was almost three quarters of a billion dollars. This week, that jackpot is a paltry $54 million and if you aren't sure, that's still a lot of money. The Mega Millions Jackpot isn't doing badly either. When they do the next drawing in that game the top prize will be an estimated $88 million.

Despite the fact that there was no record or near record jackpots in the weekend's multi-state lottery drawings, Louisiana players still managed to pull some big money out of the pool.

In Friday's Mega Millions drawing a ticket sold in Zachary was determined to be worth $10,000. That ticket was sold at Jett's Food Mart on Main Street. Meanwhile, there was a $50,000 winner sold in Kenner at Diaz Market Driftwood on Esplanade.

The next drawing in the Mega Millions game is set for Tuesday evening. The midweek drawing for the Powerball game is set for Wednesday. Both drawings take place at 9:59 local time and by rule ticket sales must cease at least one hour before the drawing occurs.
