
Charlie Kirk Has Died: Shot At A Turning Point College Event In Utah

(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck earlier today at a college campus event at Utah Valley University. President Donald Trump has confirmed via a post on Truth Social that Kirk has passed away.
Witnesses are saying at aproximatley 12:20pm local time, a single shot was fired from about 100-200 yards away from Kirk striking him in the neck.

News organizations intially said that the shooter was in custody after video surfaced of a older white male with white hair on his knees in police custody. However, the local police have confirmed that he was not the shooter and that the actual shooter is still at large.

In videos from bystanders at the event, Kirk can be heard responding to a question about the rise in political violence in the country before being shot.
Utah's Governor Spencer Cox posted this on X in regards to the shooting:
Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel say that FBI and ATF agents are now on the scene conducting their investigations.
