Get the kids out of the house this weekend, and bring them to Kids to Parks Day at Millennium Park (Bord Du Lac Drive), Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Kids to Parks Day is an "grassroots movement" celebrated nationwide where thousands of children take to public parks for a day of fun.

Expect face painting, balloons, fun jumps, train rides, Connect 4, bowling, coloring activities, splash pads, and free snacks. This event is open to everyone.

“Our parks are a critical component of quality of life in the City of Lake Charles and programs like these are a small part of a larger effort we are making across the city through our Partners in Parks initiative to expand opportunities for citizens of all ages to make their way outside and explore science and nature in their own backyard,” said Mayor Nic Hunter. “I invite all Lake Charles residents to join me on May 18 for Kids to Parks Day.”
