
Blues Icons Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Bobby Rush Share the Stage in Lake Charles, Louisiana
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Two of Louisiana's favorite sons, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Bobby Rush, will be performing together in Lake Charles this October.
Kenny Wayne Brobst was born on June 12, 1977 in Shreveport. Shepherd got his first guitar at the age of three and the rest is as they say history. He was signed to a major record deal at the age of 13. Kenny is completely self-taught and doesn't read music. He took is stepfather's last name, Shepherd, as his stage name.

Bobby Rush was born on November 10, 1933 in Homer, Louisiana. His family relocated to Chicago in 1953. Rush became a staple in the local blues music scene performing with the likes of Etta James, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Jimmy Reed. In the early 1970s a song he wrote, "Chicken Heads", and the rest his history.
